Sequoia Mansion - Placerville

Heidi and Donnie began their wedding day by getting ready in Folsom and had the beautiful and historic truss bridge carry them into their new lives together.

they had a private first look moment with the bridge as their backdrop followed by family and bridal portraits.

after the first look and portraits we took a short walk and posed for photos on the bridge itself.

Heidi and Donnie asked me during our final meeting prior to their wedding to create a Vogue magazine style photo of their wedding party, so we set up this group picture at Sequoia Mansion.

Heidi was all smiles just minutes before walking down the aisle.

and the fellas shared one more toast..

we had a very special four legged furry ring bearer lead the way down the aisle.

After the ceremony we went to the front of mansion for portraits at dusk.

Here we took a available light portrait for a different look than the above photo shot using off camera flash.

Heidi looked stunning as Donnie began to lead his bride through the couples first dance.

I love seeing the reaction of the groom as he discovers his bride isn’t where she was before his blindfold was put on.

We ended the evening with one last portrait, here we back lit the couple with a strobe in front of an antique door.
